The National Party has trusted us to promote their key messages and campaign policies over several elections – including both victories for the John Key and Christopher Luxon administrations. Our approach has, of course, evolved over the years. Fueled by media insights, it’s developed into a highly optimised and agile audience targeting machine. In 2023, New Zealand was crying out for change and dramatic shifts in voter support across political parties was a constant. With the guidance of weekly research, we nuanced the behavior change modelling to adapt messaging and media channel targeting and weighting, at a moment’s notice. This ensured the National Party was ahead of the competition on all trending topics and policies.
TR Group are experts in all aspects of truck and trailer rental and leasing. They wanted to be front-of-mind for Kiwis thinking of freighting logistics, and to position themselves as the go-to specialists. We worked with them to refine their target audience from single truck owner/operators to large fleet managers. Our primary KPI was to increase targeted awareness and consideration. We used multiple strategies to reach the most relevant audiences in the most premium digital and offline media channels.
Elanco are leaders in farm animal and pet health solutions. They asked us to raise brand awareness in the farming community and encourage them to use their products.
We developed a comprehensive multi-channel media strategy, including a large-scale MetService Rural data and tech partnership. We targeted farmers in an environment they visit often (because of their reliance on accurate forecasting).
TigerTurf create lush green lawns that are safe for family and pets. They wanted to reach an upmarket inner-city audience who were unaware of the excellent benefits and exciting range of turf available. We looked to innovative and use interactive digital formats to engage with multiple mindsets and audience segments. High impact offline brand-building channels reinforced TigerTurf’s relevance. We ran multiple campaigns that delivered on brand and consideration metrics whilst also driving a strong leads pipeline.
The Grove Orewa is a premium beachside retirement village that provides a homely and healthy lifestyle for its occupants. We were asked to help increase footfall for regular open homes and subsequently leads (sale of units). During the launch period we applied strategies across multiple offline media channels to increase sales and occupancy. We ensured The Grove stood out in an extremely competitive retirement living category and were successful in hitting their unit sales targets.
The COVID-19 pandemic was tough for Kiwis and businesses everywhere. The New Zealand tourism sector was hit particularly hard. Taupō’s businesses and operators (who are highly reliant on visitors and tour groups) took a significant revenue hit. Our brief was clear: promote the region and boost visitation and operator leads. We deployed successful omni-media strategies that included brand partnerships, influencer and traditional media buys. There streams came together to save livelihoods in the region. A campaign we’re very proud of!
Ultimate Care Group
Ultimate Care Group has multiple premises across New Zealand, providing affordable accommodation for those who require specialised aged care. The ongoing challenge of maintaining occupancy means that educating prospective occupants (and their families) about the benefits of village living is crucial to Ultimate Care Group’s success. We were tasked with making them stand out in the end-of-life care category. Working in conjunction with our sister creative agency Farrimond, we identified synergies in media and creative to raise brand awareness and increase enquiries nationwide through traditional and digital channels. As a result, occupancy across the country has increased significantly.
